International Booker Prize 2025 Heart Lamp — A sad show on Amazon

Introduction
I thought I would check out Heartlamp today because of yesterday’s excitement of it being the Booker Prize winner for international books. As you know, I am also from Bangalore, which is also in Karnataka. But I speak English — I don’t really read Kannada. I learned to read Kannada many years ago when my children were learning it in school. But this is Heart Lamp, translated into English, and this is what has won the International Booker Prize. So it is indeed an exciting and beautiful day.

Amazon Listing Overview
Let’s have a look, however, at this Amazon page. The book is under Literature & Fiction → Short Stories. I’m not sure whether that category is very good, but maybe. And look at the price — it’s pretty high for a Kindle, so I don’t know how many people will take a risk and buy this book, which is so obviously on the edge of what normal people would read.
